Heimsheim and Nuremberg in January 2023

The IGR Institute for Health and Ergonomics supports its customers in various fields. As an example of the integration of the topic of ergonomics as a practical added value for its customers, in our January issue we present KRIEG Industriegeräte GmbH & Co. KG from Heimsheim near Stuttgart. In addition to the functionality and quality of their products, they consistently pursue the goal of providing individual ergonomic solutions for better, more humane work in plants.

Product certification for tested ergonomic functionality

It is important to KRIEG to ensure more ergonomics in the workplace. For this reason, the KRIEG® WORKFLEX® workstation systems, among others, have undergone extensive product testing and have been awarded the "Ergonomic Product" seal of quality by the IGR Institute for Health and Ergonomics. The seal of approval stands for ergonomic products that can be flexibly adapted to the physical characteristics of the working person.

Ergonomics consulting for optimally adapted solutions

The best ergonomic product can only demonstrate its qualities if the solutions are optimally adapted to the specific requirements of the customers. The aim is to plan and implement workplaces for greater efficiency.

As an expert and specialist for company workplace systems with the brand KRIEG WORKFLEX®, KRIEG® has always attached great importance to the further training of its employees in order to be able to offer its customers the best possible advice according to the latest scientific findings.

KRIEG has therefore had its employees trained and certified by the IGR as ergonomics coaches. Two focal points are trained by the IGR: firstly, relationship ergonomics, i.e. the optimal setting of an office or production workplace; on the other hand, behavioural ergonomics, i.e. the training of employees to use the work equipment correctly and to behave healthily.

The IGR certificate as an ergonomics coach is regarded as a special seal of quality.

Award for a holistic ergonomic concept

As a logical consequence for the company's focus on the success factor of ergonomics, KRIEG has risen to the challenge and has already applied twice for the IGR Innovation Award for Ergonomics. With success:

As a manufacturer of ergonomic workplace solutions, KRIEG has been developing holistic ergonomic concepts for more health at the workplace for years. For this, the Heimsheim-based specialist for workplace equipment has already been awarded the "Innovation Award for Ergonomics 2021". All the greater the joy that they have now been nominated for the "Innovation Award for Ergonomics 2023".
