Nuremberg in March 2023
After all, it turns out that the interest in ergonomics is constantly evolving. The challenges of the world of work are increasing, but private users are also becoming increasingly demanding, e.g. when it comes to healthy sleeping or a carefree school day for children with sophisticated ergonomic concepts for school bags and backpacks.
Traditionally, the IGR awards the Innovation Prize for Ergonomics.
Wherever people are, they encounter products and solutions that make life healthier and more sporty, or simply give them pleasure. At work and in private life. Successful ergonomic concepts are characterized by ease of use and high utility value. Ergonomics does not only mean a good design that makes the use of products easier and healthier, but whether the correct application is communicated in an understandable way. The term "usability" combines the concepts of utility value, user-friendliness and comprehensible usability.
At the Ergonomics Innovation Award, however, even more is evaluated by the jury. The applicants should show whether they live the topic of ergonomics themselves. It is not enough to just offer the right products and services on the outside. The companies show what they actively do for internal health, e.g. by setting up ergonomic workplaces and suitable programs for exercise and healthy nutrition. To increase well-being and thus also to motivate and productivity of employees.
Wide range of industries
In 2023, the origin of applications from a wide variety of industries was once again striking, both in terms of nominees and award winners.
This shows the importance of ergonomics in the most diverse areas of daily life.
Be it industrial companies that offer ergonomic solutions for the logistics and shipping sector, manufacturers of mattresses and sleeping systems or suppliers of child-friendly "growing" school bags and backpacks. Whether in the booming bicycle and fitness sector or classic in the office with chairs and furniture: they all live ergonomics. All award winners were thus able to position themselves as exemplary companies in their overall ergonomic orientation.
Award and motivation
The Ergonomics Innovation Award stands for commendable achievements in the past and present. At the same time, it should also be a motivation to continue to permanently develop the idea of ergonomics and a human-friendly world.
Finally live again
Ergonomics has something to do with people and thrives on interaction, touching and grasping. We are all the more pleased to be able to meet our award winners in person again at the presentation of the Innovation Award. After the pandemic, the lively exchange of ideas and emotions has a special meaning!
