While the HUMEN® Office system focuses on desk jobs, HUMEN® Dynamics was developed to record and evaluate physical strain in work steps in the skilled trades, manufacturing industry or logistics sector. The practical technology was developed in cooperation with the Laboratory for Biosignal Processing at HTWK Leipzig University of Applied Sciences. The camera-based recording is followed by an immediate real-time analysis including a comprehensive assessment.
The evaluation does not require special sensors to be attached to the body or work situations to be simulated in an artificial laboratory situation. Instead, the measurement takes place live in the real working environment. Individual movement sequences as well as complete work shifts can be analyzed to reveal poor posture or even overload.
By using the new type of video analysis, the actual status at the respective time of a specific work step can be recorded. For this purpose, the individual sub-areas knee angle, shoulder angle, spine angle extension, flexion, lateral flexion are color-coded. The system is therefore based on a section of the RULA standard (Rapid Upper Limb Assessment).
The graphical representation using an Ergoman makes it easy to see where caution is required or urgent improvements are needed. Measures can be taken directly, the effects of which are displayed in the program. This demonstrative before-and-after comparison illustrates, among other things, how much relief can be achieved through the use of proportional ergonomic measures (transport aids, lifting devices and other ergonomic aids), as well as behavioral ergonomic measures (correct adjustment of machines, coaching employees on ergonomic lifting). The video material obtained in this way can also be used for training purposes.

The easiest way to carry out the analysis is with the HUMEN® Dynamics app, which only requires a mobile device such as a smartphone or tablet with a functioning camera. The easy-to-use tool is available to download free of charge from the Google Play Store and Apple Store. The first analysis is also free to test the service without any obligation.
The person working can be photographed from the front, side or back, as the software recognizes the movements effortlessly. The load on individual parts of the body such as shoulders, back or knee joints is visualized by traffic light colors and an Ergoman directly on the smartphone. The evaluation includes a report and an evaluated video with Ergoman.
If you want to optimize the entire working day in your company, the functions of the app are probably not enough to develop a truly sustainable ergonomics concept.
